TEAM 399 GRAND TETON AND YELLOWSTONE SAFARIS

We are Jack and Gina Bayles, the founders of Team 399. We live here year-round, sharing our love for the Tetons and Yellowstone with all of our safari guests.

We conduct half and full day tours in the Tetons all year, go to Yellowstone for a full day in season and offer custom multi day tours in both Grand Teton and Yellowstone all year.

You don’t need any camera equipment to enjoy our wildlife tours.

If you are a photographer, we welcome all skill and equipment levels and can give you as little or as much instruction as you like. We do stress ethical behavior around wildlife.

With two guides on most trips we are perfect for couples or families where some are photographers and some are not.

You’ve probably seen us on Facebook, Instagram and/or YouTube, following our adventures with the grizzlies, wolves, wildlife and scenery. Come ride with us and let us show you our world.

We lead every wildlife tour ourselves, ensuring that you receive the best experience possible.

We can take up to 10 people on a private single day adventure and will take up to 6 people on a private multi day adventure.

We provide spotting scopes, binoculars and reference material.

You will come away enlightened and entertained.

8 Day/7 Night Grand Teton and Yellowstone Winter Expedition:

We like this particular safari in late November through mid-December. Bighorn sheep are rutting on the refuge, moose and bison are plentiful, elk are making their way down to the valleys and wolves are following them. There are even grizzly bears still up. All the wildlife looks as good as it will all year. There is enough snow on the ground to really feel like winter but we still have sunny days. It’s truly a magical time in the parks.

Day one:

We start in Jackson 10 A.M. at your previous night’s lodging or at the Jackson Airport when your flight arrives. We take a wildlife tour in the afternoon and then enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant and getting a good night’s sleep. Lodging at Hilton Homewood Suites or similar.

Day Two - Three:

We head out to Grand Teton and the Elk Refuge for a morning wildlife tour. We return to Jackson for lunch and spend the afternoon back in the parks or maybe heading south for mountain goats. Lodging at Hilton Homewood Suites or similar

Day Four:

We check out of our lodging in Jackson and head toward Yellowstone. Stopping in West Yellowstone for lunch, we also enjoy a short visit to the Grizzly Wolf Discovery Center. We continue on to Gardiner, Montana, where we check in to our lodging for the next three nights. Lodging at Yellowstone Gateway Inn or similar

Day Five:

We are on the Northern Range all day looking for bison, moose, bighorn sheep, otters, coyotes, foxes, wolves and eagles throughout the park. We have lunch in the field and return to Gardiner for dinner. Lodging at Yellowstone Gateway Inn or similar

Day Six:

We are on the Northern Range all day looking for landscapes, bison, moose, bighorn sheep, otters, coyotes, foxes, wolves and eagles throughout the park. We have lunch in the field and return to Gardiner for dinner. Lodging at Yellowstone Gateway Inn or similar

Day Seven:

We spend one last morning on the Northern Range. We return to Gardiner for a late lunch and then make the trek back to Bozeman in the afternoon. If time allows we will investigate other wildlife hotspots along the way. We check into our lodging in the Bozeman area before a farewell dinner. Lodging at Belgrade Holiday Inn or similar
